Joshua Tree
Mostly photos from an other worldly spot.
The glow lingered on the tree as we unplugged the lights and ran out the door at four am the day after Christmas. A big metal bird took us all the way down to California, where we visited my friend Max and then made our way into Joshua Tree National Park.

There was drama with another friend, a friend I traveled down there with, and after many hours of retelling and processing it all with friends and family, I’m ready to move on and focus on the joyous parts of the trip. Ultimately, traveling with friends and their kids can be challenging. So many times I wanted to throw my hands up and throw her out. And time and again, this message, carved on a rock in Joshua tree came back to me:
The key to life is contact.
And so, time and again, I reconnected with her, mended, and gently sewed our friendship back together. The seem may be imperfect and we’ll be gentle moving foward.
Let’s stay in touch and stay connected, especially when it’s hard.
And now, a literal ton of pictures from the sunshine:
